Can anyone tell me how/if i can use a step sequencer to control the KORG Legacy Collection? Also what is the best way to do this? Is there a software based step sequencer that is compatible?

Can you just get a piece of hardware that has a step sequencer and a midi connetion and control it with that? Or are squencers not that compatible with software?
