Hi, I'm pulling out my hair becuase I can't get my tr909 to control other synths or send midi data. I can control it from other midi equipment however. I have tried setting it to external controller mode and have set the midi channels up correctly. It's driving me up the wall!
Does anyone have any advice that might help?

it sounds like you have a bad midi out from your 909, i would try recording the midi output onto your PC to see if you get anything. or plugging it into a midi merger thing and seeing if the midi in light flashes on. you might have to get it fixed up.. theres a tech wizard by the name of Maschinengeist on this board who you could talk to and theres a list of repair shops at the top.
