hey hallo!
I just got my odyssey from italy!
Its in MINT SHAPE:)
well i have to clean some of the sliders, but its OK.
Everything seems to work fine, except of:
10 of the keys are doing some weird triggering.
after you play them they make a really strange sound (high pitched) in release and sustain
this only happens at 10 random (alwys the same) keys.
Its really impossible to play when having release and sustain open....
My moog makes this only when its really downtuned but only on first 2 keys..
but this one has problem on 10.
Is this easily to solve?
Thank you for your advice!
Okc
need help with my oddy:)

Maybe some of your J wires might be cought under the keys. Just one being cought under the bar can cause several to not trigger right. If thats the case you prob have to take it apart, bend the J wires back over the bar thing. Its happend to mine a couple times and when I got it, I got it cheap one of the reasons being because of this fairly simple fix. Seems like the same thing is happening to yours. It could be something difrent, but putting the J-wires back in place isn't too hard to fix if you've got a screw driver. The trick is getting it back together again without bending any other wires or prongs or stripping screws. It is doable by yourself though. Hope thats all it is for your sake.

thanx alot!
I also noticed that the VCO2 always plays the same note..
except for the last key..
Can also this be a prat of the J-Wire problem?
I googled today like crazy, i found some pic of how the inside looks so i hope im right...
there are 2 wires.. and the J-Wire is connected to every key.
When the key is unpressed the J-wire touches the upper wire and when you press it it touches the bottom wire
after the key is depressed it touches again the upper wire..
Am i right?:)
THANKS SOO MUCH.

I'm not 100% sure if you've got that right or not. I'm thinking when they are not pressed, neither of the two wires per key is touching. When you press down a little one of them touch then when down all the way the second one touches and they are both touching at that point. Let completely off then none are touching. I believe thats the way, but I'm not 100% certain. When you look you'll probably see one or two that arnt like the rest, make them like the rest.
It definatly could have something to do with one of your OSCs pitch remaining the same, it sounds a lot like you've got a j-wire or two cought. I think you can tell easily by looking once you take the case off, but there is a cross board that ties all three main boards to each other I think that has to come out before the keybed can be taken out to get a good look. That cross board is the tricky one to get back on the prongs, it just pulls out if I remember right.
Good luck!
