Need some help with my MP-7! First off I want to know how to delete my old sequences entirely? Not even had any joy in the manual!!!!
Secondly how do I save new sequences properly? I thought id mastered this ages ago but my machine doesn't seem to want to save the date anymore for some weird reason! I do the save/enter button thang & when i power back up the sequenced instruments aren't the ones i used! Pretty bloody frustrating! Any help much appreciated.............Cheers eggberto.... 8) [/b]
Any Emu MP-7 experts out there?????

Unfortunately I don't think you can delete all patterns in one go, I think you have to delete them one at a time
As for saving, presets on the A channels are saved with patterns.
Presets on the B channels are only saved as part of a global set-up

How do I delete them one at a time? This is what im stuck on as there doesn't seem to be a straight forward answer! I would have thought, for example, you could scroll up sequence 1 hit delete and get rid but apparently not! Must be a way somehow! Thanks for answering though man........Cheers Eggberto.....

Turn on the unit while holding down the left & right cursor buttons (next to the wheel).
Let go of the buttons when you get to the diagnostics menu - use the wheel to scroll through the selections.
The second to last selection is the full reset - this will reset everything to the "factory state".
This also erases all the patterns, though. You will need to reload the factory patterns if you want them - I'm guessing you don't.
You should be able to save now too, as I think there is a write protect option buried in one of the menus that isn't selected when the unit is factory fresh.

OK! I have re-set the factory settings which has deleted all the sequences which is great! Im still back at square one though as I still cannot save my instrument with my sequence! Ill run through what im doing-
-Turn on & get to preset page
-Scroll through instrument until I find one I can work with
-Sequence on my MPC via midi
-When happy hit pattern button
-Find available sequence say 000 Untitled
-Hit Save/Copy which brings up save pattern then scroll to 000 (enter light is flashing)
-Hit Home/Enter to save which it does
When I power back up after a session the sequence is saved but the instruments I chose are different!
I also noticed the Track Enable/ Mute buttons in the Command Function area used to light up as i added a track to the sequence ie if i used midi 1 through 4 then 1 to 4 would be illuminated out of the 16 command function buttons!
Head scrambler......V lost with whats happening as it was working fine a week ago!
