I recently imported a GORGEOUS DX-11 from the states and never realised they run on 120V instead of the 220V here in South Africa.
Any idea on where I could find a replacement transformer that can be built in? I really don't wanna have to schlepp a brick(external transformer) around.........

The original yamaha 220V power transformer is XD750.

Obviously, there will be a few modifications to make.

I should check the schematics but I do not doubt that a center-tapped, off-the-shelf replacement transfo is available.
