easy enough to diagnose, try running on batteries and see if it goes away

I'd recommend using a Boss PSA-240, although any well-regulated supply should remove the hum.

What if you were going to be playing it live around your neck with batteries? Will it hum with batteries or should that not be an issue?

No, in fact you will get the cleanest sound from batteries because there's no possibility of ripple in the voltage, and it always sits at 9VDC.

hey guys, so I just got the MGS-1 grip handle for my SH-101 but it didn't come with any screws. now, this seems like it wouldn't be any problem but after having bought practically every kind of screw Home Depot has to offer, none of them fit!!! the 7 X 1/2" is too small and the 8 X 1/2" is too big! is there a size 7 1/2 that I'm unaware of? it's always the little things that really piss you off isn't it.
thanks for any feedback!

IIRC, I used 4-40 on mine and they were definitely not the right size but did the job. It will be a metric size for sure though so I dont think you will find them at home depot
