Hi,
I've been trying to use the cassette tape save on my Yamaha TX81Z. My father lost the original cable years ago, I managed to figure out what the output pinout is, but I can't figure out where the pins go for tape playback into the TX for verify and load.
Does anyone have the cassette tape port pinouts?
I've looked all over Google.
Pinouts?

There are three minijacks on the end of the lead, and an 8-pin DIN on the other.
The red & white jacks are 3.5mm, the black jack is 2.5mm.
Pins on the DIN plug are connected to the jacks as follows:
1
2: Red shield + White shield
3
4: Red tip
5: White tip
6: Black shield
7: Black tip
8
I think that's right. The manual doesn't provide the info (or if it does I missed it) so I just tested with a meter.
If you hold the plug on the lead towards you, so you're looking at the pins, they are arranged like this, left to right:
7 3 5 2 4 1 6
8 lower centre
Not a typical arrangement, I think. Hope that helps!
