I'm trying to use my sq80 as a controller, and have the resulting output (via cubase) goto all my other gear... However, when midi thru is on (in cubase), notes from the SQ80 are not passed to the output... Sporadic notes only light up on the piano roll, but nothing internally, or externally is triggered...
These means I'm stuck entering notes by hand, etc...
Could this be the sq80 acting funny (there's no local off, or other more recent "thru" features), or is there some other way to make cubase deal with incoming midi? I recall I never had this problem with my old dw8000...
EDIT: I just swapped midi interfaces from my old sb-live to an edirol one to see if there was any difference.... The problem still seems to be the same HOWEVER, the piano roll at least shows the notes correctly, and I can record them. There is just not any midi output until playback:?
MIDI thru in cubase?

The "monitoring" button on MIDI tracks in Cubase control whether the MIDI is passed thru to the output. So think of it as the "MIDI thru" button, and only as an audio monitoring button on audio tracks.
Two VCO: thanks to the push rods, one can choose several forms of waves at the same time!
