Need Serivce Manual for Rhythm Ace FR-2L

Post by th0mas » Fri Apr 25, 2008 3:36 am

Hi Forum,

I just received my newest analogue box, a Rhythm Ace FR-2L. It's pretty cool. Anyone got a service manual? I plan to add potentiometers for pitch/decay for most instruments as well as MIDI input control of the triggers. I'm halfway there on my dr-110 and this'll complete my analog drum requirements quite nicely.

Thanks,
Tom

As far as I know, there are no service manual or schematics in existence.

Thanks for the tip!

I took it apart yesterday, happy to see a voice board that has a bunch of trigger inputs from the cpu board.. but I saw something I've never seen before. Can anyone tell me what I'm looking at when I see a component that looks 2 magnets, one on top of each other, with a bolt through the middle and a nut holding them to the board?

I'll take a picture of them next time I have the unit apart, im in the middle of moving so it might be a week or so...

It's a long shot but it sounds like some sort of inductor. I haven't seen that too often either.
