hey, im wondering if any of you DSX owners/users/smart people can tell me about how the CV outs of this work. i understand that it can connect to the x/xa/8 series OB's via the 25 pin connector, and notes output to the DSX can be read. i'd like to understand the CV outs of the DSX better-can you play into it in real time via synth and it will output cv/gate info for each voice? or do you need to program it, and put it in playback mode for voices to generate cv/gate info? thanks much.

I think you mean the "DSX" sequencer, not the "DX" drum machine. You might want to revise your title to attract the right people.

I, too, wonder how this sequencer works.

I posted a query on this sequencer recently and got no response. From what I read, I don't think it can be used as a real time controller>cv/gate converter... (and I don't think note data can be input by hand-so I assume you have an ob-something)

Shame, it can't be used with other inputs, cos it would be great to have all those multiple cv outs.

If you already have a copy of the menu, this link will be of no use - but if you don't, page 39 seems to have info that pertains to your question.
