Roland SVC-350 Vocoder question....
So today I turn it on for the first time in 12 months or so. For about 10 seconds after powering on it works fine, then the output just fades out to nothing. If I turn it off for 10 seconds, then back on, it will work for about 10 seconds, then fade away again. Any ideas? Are arts still pretty easy to get for these?

The power supply needs a serious inspection.
I've got the complete service manual (but I'm not giving it away for free). There might be free scans floating around (I dunno, never checked).
I wouldn't be surprised that the electrolytic caps, bridge rectifier snd in some cases, a power transistor too.
Sure thing, the el. caps are dead (1979!!!) and a dying diode in the bridge rectifier is most likely defective (common problem). And from what you descibe, it really sounds like a problematic diode.
But considering its age, a good series of tests is highly recommended. With electronics and old instruments, it's rarely just one thing.
