SH101 for TB303 style Acid, anyone know how to do it?

Post by Damo303 » Mon Jun 30, 2008 10:37 pm

i'm trying to use my SH101 to create funky acid lines like the soundclip attached:

http://www.durftal.com/music/edmx/dmxst ... h10101.mp3

apparently this was made with a SH101 sawtooth wave and the internal sequencer.

I have tried to create this sound for many weeks now and I cant get anything even close, any ideas?

Can anyone share any settings for the raw sound, I think I can get the sequencer to slide and rest to make it funky but i'm having trouble getting the sound programmed.

cheers

You'd get better results than that with Rebirth, and that's free now. Spend a little and get Audiorealism and it would be even better. Both of those will get you great Acid for cheap, and are closer to the elusive 303 square wave too.
I am no longer in pursuit of vintage synths. The generally absurd inflation from demand versus practical use and maintenance costs is no longer viable. The internet has suffocated and vanquished yet another wonderful hobby. Too bad.
