Moog Voyager Schematic

Post by rpstro02 » Fri Jul 04, 2008 2:25 am

Can't find one googling around.

Anyone know where I can get a schematic for the Moog Voyager?

Couldn't wait so I opened it up just to get a glimpse. Wow. Had no idea it was so complex. Makes the mini look simple. And I just have the RME. I'd love to see a schematic. Let me know if you can help out.

You won't find them online. It' too new to make it on the web. And Bob's no longer around so don't expect the same generosity from Moog Music.

You might get a copy if you make friend with a Moog authorized repairshop.

What's the problem with your Voyager?

Curiousity. I'm planning on building my own synth. Just want to know how they do everything.

You might check the old Mini and the modular service manual that are available online, but I´d say it would be far an ambitious project for a start, let alone the Voyager with all the digital control and God knows what modern technology Bob put in there.
Try a kit like a PAiA (Hz/V...) or better yet an MFOS Mini-Synth or any sound module. They all feature easy to find parts.
In alternative, check the service notes of the Rogue to learn more. It´s possible to clone the synth or to put the boards inside say a 3U rack case with lots more switches and knobs as there are so many functions buried in there that can´t be accessed from the front panel. It´s the best schematic I´ve seen. Everything is clearly laid out with voltage references everywhere. I love it so much I even got the originals from ebay. The SH-101 schematic is a labyrinth in comparision.

Cheers.
