Ok, The weirdest thing happend to me with my ESQ-1, I just turned it on as usually, with the screen Battery Voltage low, consult manual, knowing someday i'll have to replace my battery, and I made a drum sequence, didn't bother deleting it because when I turn off my ESQ-1 it resets because I apparently, have a bad CMOS Backup battey. Turned it back on 3 hours later, no battery voltage sign, checked my sequence, still there! Could it be possible after having a dead battery for over a year that it just came back to life? I turned it off Again and still the battery is fine!
Im so excited because i was just about to replace the battery for $68. Saved money! This is awesome. I dont know if I should stay on the safe side an replace it any way. Might be worth it instead of losing 40 of my patches. O well, Im happy for the moment, my lucky day!

It just may have been a loose battery connection/solder joint. The battery may have been good, but the connection was (probably still is) bad. And $68 for the battery? Did that include labor or something?

You can't trust a zombie battery, get it checked out by someone who knows their stuff.

$68 is maybe for the service? Dunno...
I join Stab: nothing comes back to life. There is no magic in electronics.
What could have happened is that the battery has not been properly installed. Quite possibly been badly soldered in.
There's nothing weird. Have you ever solved an electronic problem with a good ol' wham! on the side of a gizmo? I did, back in the days. Seems like a divine intervention but it's not.
Have it checked anyway (or check it yourself) because there is a chance it'll come back to haunt you.
