Modifying the new Stylophone

Post by polardark » Sat Aug 23, 2008 2:32 am

Hi,

On a brief vacation to London a couple of days ago i found one of those new Dubreq Stylophones. Made sure i bought two so i could give one to my spoiled 8 year old kid brother as well. The new Stylophone is better than i expected and it's a lot of fun to play.

There are two simple possible modifications that would increase the Stylophone playability:
* Push-button switch for vibrato. This would make it easier to apply a delayed vibrato.
* Push-button switch for bass notes. This could be done by connecting a resistor in serial to the tuning pot.

I've run into an embarassing snag however. I can't get the case open. It seems to be glued together somehow. Anybody know how to open this thing without doing too much damage to the Stylophone case?
