is it possible to program the pitch of each drum sound over midi on a kawai r100 ?

I've never use a R100, but pages 61 & 62 of the owner's manual shows the MIDI IN note assignments of the drums along with pitch and panning. Not sure if these can be editted or not - the quick glance I gave the manual seems to indicate "no".
Page 64 shows the MIDI OUT note assignments of the 24 insruments, which is very similar to GM drum kits.

What you can do is assign certain keys certain pitches. You can go as high as you want; however, you're limited to 127 notes.
I gave myself certain pitches that I liked on all three drumsets, as well as the normal pitches. I always though SysEx could be the answer, but I don't know.
