Using an Mbase1 with an Electribe

I was thinking about picking up an Mbase1, but I wanted to make sure there won't be any issues with triggering it from an ESX. The electribes sequence drums parts with drum note numbers on a single midi channel, what is there to stop every drum note from triggering the Mbase1 at different pitches while still playing the remaining drum samples(minus the kick) from the ESX at the same time. Poorly worded, but does anybody know what I'm talking about?

You need to set the Electribe kick part to trigger C1 (= the corresponding midi note number).
If I understand correctly, the mbase when set to split mode 1 only will only respond to C1.

<SM1> The bass drum is only played by standard note C1 with the
internally stored pitch.

<SM2> The bass drum is played over the whole keyboard, varying
the pitch of the VCO depending on the key pressed.
Makes sense?

Yes, thank you.
