Hi everyone!
I've recently acquired a TR-707 but the sounds in the Snare, Rim/Cowbell and Ride group are all very loud (I'm talking ear crushing loud) and dirty sounding. Their respective volume slider does nothing. Everything else works fine and all the other sounds and volumes work perfectly. I'm thinking this might be a volume problem because of the sound grouping thing.
What's going on? Any ideas?
Thanks!

I'm talking through my hat here since I have not checked my documents but it sounds like a mod of some kind. Sorry to be so vague.

Mmmm... I've opened it and didn't see anythink to obvious besides two wires going out to the battery compartiment. However when I heard it I immediatly thought it sounded like glitchy modded stuff. But crappy modded stuff.
Thanks!

The previous owner "may" have messed with it transistors/0p-amps wise. Once again,I talk through my hat. But I once had a similar case where an instrument has been "moddified": the owner has been told that it might be component(s) X that were defective and replaced them with what he could grab at his local Radio Shack (maybe thinking that components were universal).
Wires from the battery? Ah! Maybe that should be checked closer, especially if those seem to have been added.
