Loading patches/OS to Virus

Post by supermel74 » Wed Dec 10, 2008 3:57 am

Trying to load patches/os into Virus Indigo using midi-ox to expand it to 1024 patches, it counts up (from 8-15)and seems to be working, but it finally comes to the message "Recv. last bank 15" and then it just stops and freezes up. The only way to unfreeze it is to power down and power back up which returns it to it's previous state without the new patches. I'm doing exactly what the manual says to do(the manual is not precise at all). Anybody have a guess?

I don't have any specific virus experience, but whenever I've had problems in the past sending sysex I've solved it by reducing the rate it was sent at.

OK cool. I'll look into that and keep trying things. Thanks

EDIT: I tried sending it with Windows Media Player's midi player and that worked fine.
