Yep, my micro modular sounds like a old LP (not little phatty, though that could be cool!), and it's not the cables, all off the outputs, both 1 & 2 + phones, can I it fix in some way?

Re: Noisy outputs on micro modular.-.
You can fix it by replacing both op-amps driving both outputs. I don't have the service data under the nose but it's very likely and common (even more these days with SMD components). Desoldering is easy, resoldering is trickier but not impossible.
Please have the op-amps checked.
Hope that helps

Re: Noisy outputs on micro modular.-.
Don't know if this is related, might be something slightly different, or perhaps not.
I picked up a used Micro and sometimes on certain sounds there's a kind of digital grunge / 'aliasing' effect. I don't think it's normal behaviour as otherwise the machine sounds so pristine.
This effect is quite audible here* on the factory '8 voice piano' patch. It's definitely more pronounced on the right output.

Anyone know what that might be caused by?
Thanks in advance.
* You probably won't hear it on laptop speakers. It's the crackly grunginess - the rising whining at the start seems to be something the mp3 encoder has kindly added into the mix. Digital audio eh?

Re: Noisy outputs on micro modular.-.
Can someone with a Nord Micro or G1 do me a favour?
I'm trying to work out if this 'aliasing' effect is usual.
Here's a sound example it's just a low sine oscillator tone (146.8Hz) rising and falling in volume. As you can hear, at a certain point there is a a higher tone, it sounds like aliasing or PWM or something. It starts and stops quite suddenly at a given level, quite pronounced at times.

Thanks alot if you can help with this.
