tb-303 memory

Post by truckasaurus » Thu Jan 15, 2009 8:25 am

In the past I've swapped out batteries in my 303 and it retained all the patterns. It's been a while though, so I just wanted to make sure if it's safe to swap out the 303 batteries while it's being powered by an adapter.

Will my memory be safe?

If it's a c**p shoot I'll go ahead and write down all my patterns before doing a battery swap.

The TB-303 has a non-volatile memory but it is recommended to change the batteries when the machine is OFF. The batteries must be changed within 1 minute otherwise the memory might get sweep clean.

In other words, only change the batteries when the unit is OFF.

You can read all those precautions at page 3 of the Owner's Manual.
