I do repair synths....I do help others ....I will work out this problem but because i have no schems i thought it was reasonable to ask anyone who has one to make life easier..

What's the point of this help section....I will always help someone if possible.

For what it's worth, I would readily help in every way I could if I had any experience with one.

And that's the way it should be, I repair all my own synths and restore them.

I am qualified in electronics but sometimes when working on these things experience plays a big part.
I only ask if someone who has one can just open it up (4 screws) and tell where 2 wires go.

If i can find the schems i wouldn't have to bother anyone here.

Drop the sarcasm i just want to fix my synth.

there was no sarcasm intended. what i meant is that if you cant find help for free, there are techs who would be happy to repair it for you for a price. thats all, no need to make it more than it was! good luck.

I used to play an E-H Mini Synth, and to be perfectly honest, I don't think it's worth fixing. Be that as it may, 9VDC is the correct power supply. I have a vague recollection that there is something you have to do in order to use an external supply instead of a battery -- move a jumper on the board or something.
Switches, knobs, buttons, LEDs, LCD screens, monitors, keys, mice, jacks, sockets. Now two joysticks!

That's interesting..I need to first work out if i am using the right power supply and because the previous owner has tried to 'fix it' I now have to rewire it correctly. I am searching around in the dark at this point with no instructions or schems.

That's why i need this very basic info as a start point. Before i start fault finding.

Non of the chips have any info on them...Strange.

I have now fixed it...It was a 2n5088 transistor that was faulty.

I have the schematics if anyone has problems and i can be of help.

It's a nice synth though..A very earthy and unique sound.
