So I found a Korg Polysix for dirt cheap last year. The seller didn't seem to know much about it and I was able to pick it up and try it out locally.

The tuning was slightly off so I thought it would be an easy fix.

I found the calibration manuals online and tried my best to follow them.

Following those directions I am able to completely tune the machine into perfect condition in about 10/15 min.

The problem is that when I bring it to a show or move it to another studio, sometimes it completely loses it's tuning. It doesnt always happen, but most of the time it does.

Now, what I mean by loosing it's tuning is that the note distance in between octaves grows proportionally.
So .. a C1 might be a Bb and a C6 might be a Db. It's like it spreads itself farther and farther...

I'm not sure what it is..
Could it be a loose pot? Too much power going into it ? I really don't know..

This Polysix does not have the battery damage that most have and has a brand new functional battery.

I'm actually wondering if this is a common problem. The Polysix does tend to be a bit unstable with its tuning; you're doing the procedure right, and I know what you mean when you say each octave drifts in pitch up a little higher. It's a real pain to tune the unit. It only takes you 10 to 15 minutes? Make sure you put it in test mode first before tuning so it disables all the extra modulation, or use a straight sawtooth wave with the cutoff all the way up and reso down to tune. I have used a guitar tuner to do this procedure, and after a while (sometimes months) it would eventually drift also.
