Casio CZ-1

Post by Ohm's Law » Thu Feb 05, 2009 2:14 am

Hi all,

Anyone know if replacement buttons can be found for the Casio CZ-1's front panel board?

Probably the same as the CZ-3000 and 5000.

Thanks,

Tim.

Just checking- (assuming the buttons are on the panel, but not working) have you made sure that there is no dust and dirt in their contacts, and that the front panel and associated circuit boards are lined up properly?

madtheory has a good point that i overlooked. i assumed you meant the plastic buttons and their lettering were worn or broken. if they just don't work reliably, you may need to change the little "tactile" switches under them. Mouser Electronics has them for about $0.35 each. these little things are remarkably long=-lasting...the only major problem was on the Roland JX-10: they (roland) put a sheet of black foam under the plastic buttons to stop them from rattling. the foam disintegrated into powder and worked its way right into the switches stopping them dead.

Guess I should have been more clear.

I need the tacticle switches.

Was on mouser but wasn't sure exactly which one.

Would you happen to have a Mouser or Allied part number?:)

Thanks,

Tim.

i've got mine all closed back up, so i can't see the tact switches, but I'll bet they are
Mouser 688-SKHCBFA010 from ALPS.
pm me with your mailing address and i'll send you a couple to test out before you pay shipping from Mouser.
