I'm having a pretty strange issue with my Crumar since I bought it. It typically sounds fine then cuts out with a static sound. The power button does stay lit during all of this. Also if I hit the side with my hand it sounds fine for a little while, then repeats the process.
I opened this up cleaned it out, looked for anything loose and can seem to trouble shoot it. Any ideas what to try next, other then taking it to get repaired?

Re: Crumar Orchestrator cutting out
Hello,
I have a Performer that's had some issues. I can only guess at what the problem is with your Crumar but it sounds like some sort of short or cold solder joint. If you had the schematics, appropriate tools, and skills you could get inside and see exactly where the system is failing. It could be a power or ground issue or could be something more. I'd make sure that the power supply is working correctly and consistently outputting what it should. It would probably also be a good idea to replace the electrolytic caps at some point as well. You may want to take a look at the ECs to see if there has been any indication of leakage or stress. Sorry I can't help more. I'm pretty sure the schematics are floating around the web..

Re: Crumar Orchestrator cutting out -Repaired!
It was a ground problem. I thought it was the ground near the back 1/4 jack outlet originally, but was wrong. I took out the screws that hold the actual keys to gain access to that small box where the main power comes in. The ground attaches in 2 places there and both were loose. After re-tightening both it is working fine. Thanks for the tips, I got lucky on this one.
