sh-101 dead keys

Post by starcade_express » Tue Mar 17, 2009 2:22 am

I got this synth a year or so ago, knowing these keys were bad, and figuring it would wind up being the contacts. The three keys in question are F#, B, and G. Keys #14, 19, and 27 if I'm not mistaken.

It took me until yesterday to ever take the time to take it apart and clean the contacts. With hopeful anticipation I put the rubber pads back on and hooked it up. They are still dead.

Anyone have any ideas here?

Thanks!

if you can, while the synth is powered on (and using care, obviously), try jumping the contact points without the use of the rubber pads, or use the pads from the keys you know are still working. if the notes sound, your pads have just lost conductivity, and this can be remedied.

(sorry if this isn't possible -- i've never seen the inside of a 101.)
