I recently got an ARP Quartet not in the greatest condition but easily fixable apparently.
I need 2 sliders one for the master volume and one for the filter cutoff or resonance (I forget at this moment in time)
I'm just wondering if anyone can suggest a modern replacement for these parts.
Also interms of resale value is it better to leave the original side panels on even those they have large chunks missing out of them and expose the chipboard or build some new ones out of a nice wood?
Any advice would be great.

Re: Replacement parts for ARP Quartet
Quadra or Quartet? My Quartet had real wood sides (with a fake finish). I just sanded, stained and varnished them.
I cleaned the sliders and got them working , but i had done a search. may take a little time to find my notes.

Re: Replacement parts for ARP Quartet
Quartet for sure.
The 2 sliders that are broken, are properly broken they just flap around not really connected to anything, like they have snapped internally.
The side panels are finished as faux wood but they are pretty badly damaged so they need replacing really, wasn't sure if I should recreate what is there or get something that makes it look a lot better ala Moog

WARNING ! I HAVE NOT TRIED ANY OF THESE FIXES. Proceed with caution....
Mouser electronics has a limited range of ALPHA 30mm slide-pots....But the mounting holes are 45mm apart, not 41mm as are the originals. some ways around this come to mind:
1. hard and fiddely. remove the metal shell from a new pot. braze or weld the screw-holes closed, and grind the inside surface flush again. make two tiny rectangles of thin metal the same thickness as the stamped bosses where the screws went. epoxy or braze these inside the pot case. drill and tap two new holes 41mm apart. clean well and re-assemble.
2. maybe get lucky: dismantle both old and new pots and see if the slider and resistance from the new on can be made to fit the old shell.
3. lose points for visible mods. slot out the two holes on the PC board to accomadate the 45mm mounting. you will have to cut and jumper the small copper trace that runs right past the original hole on one end.
3 1/2. trashy. epoxy the new pots right to the PC board. good luck ever changing them again.
4. again, fiddely. Mouser has a different series of ALPHA pots with the correct 41mm holes, but the have a short, plastic slider with a white painted indicator. you could fab some sort of an extension. The body with is smaller, so the old slider would not fit in the new body.
keep us informed
