X-Station Velocity Problem

Post by Saubrey » Fri Jun 26, 2009 7:29 am

Hi Everyone,
For a while I've had a rather annoying issue with my Novation X-Station. One of the keys is misreading the velocity. Unless I press it very softly it registers full velocity. There is really no in-between. It's full velocity (and volume, of course) or very soft. I'm sure I don't have tell anyone how detrimental to playing that is. The key itself is not damaged. It is not out of alignment, loose, nor does it feel any different when pressed. A while back I had an issue where water was spilled on the synth, but I let it sit for almost a month to let it dry before ever powering it up. The issue with the key did not happen until several months later and I don't abuse it and it doesn't leave the house normaly.

Any thoughts? Will I end up having to send it to Novation for repair? Is there a way to flash the system to try and reset it and would this (probably, I think) also remove my programs?

Thanks for the help!
