Elka EK 22 no sound

Post by Sigma » Wed Jul 15, 2009 6:40 pm

Hi all,

Si got an elka ek 22 and when working sounds awsome, great strings and pads, heres what happened -

bougth it, worked fine, one of the voices kept sticking acting funny, fuses blew after 10 mins or so, took out all the chips in soundboard to clean, cleaned em good, put some in wrong way, fuses blew immediately, put em in right way, powers up, display works but no sound, could i have destroyed the sound board? or just the cems?

it uses cem 3396 which are a whole synth on a chip, vca vco vcf ect

how can i test a chip to tell if its working?

Appreciate any help.

Tim.
