I have a memorymoog+ that just died on me. It was working fine, then when inserting the headphone jack the system display went crazy and the audio stopped.
Anyone heard of this happening before or know what might have happened?
Anyone know capable synth repair guys in Boston area who could work on this? Or even in New England area? I'd rather keep it local and not ship it. I've seen David White's name pop up in the vintagesynth service help pages, but no one's listed his contact info.

thanks nadafarms
It's off to the repair tech, hopefully nothing too big.
It was probably just coincidence that it died as the headphone jack was plugged in.
That's a memorymoog for ya.

Re: Memorymoog death
Not to add insult to injury here, but something has always bothered me about the MM...
Are they really worth it for what they do? Maybe I'm just not that intricate a programmer, but I got to play a MemoryMoog recently and I wasn't overly impressed considering what it is and considering what I like. I feel like any other vintage Poly can touch on the same ground as the MM, maybe not as heavy, but how useful is the sound once it gets that nasty anyway? Trust me, I'm definitely not hating on the MM at all, but even the one I played had major problems with the display and buttons jumping around, and you hear "on a good day it's amazing" etc.. but for what they go for, and the amount of work involved to get it working if you even can, is it really adding anything special to a rig other than looking very cool? Because it isn't 6 minimoogs stacked... and i thought it sounded similar to what an OB-Xa could do for example. This is not a flame - just a real question.
