JP-8000 Programming Help
Bought myself a used Roland JP-8000 a while back and love what I've been able to do with it in the studio, but hesitate to bring it out live because for the life of me I can't figure out how to write patches to memory without them getting erased upon restart. Whenever I overwrite the template sounds at the end of the "Perform" memory, it will remember what I write there, but when it's turned off, will forget. Because there appear to be only 6 template sounds, I'm lead to believe there is a different section of memory to write to for user sounds? Could it be a product problem, like a missing or dead battery/missing memory cards? I've tried getting through Roland's manual, but it's all a big scanned-in PDF and i'm not sure i quite understand the Upper/Lower Patch writing deal. Suggestions?

Re: JP-8000 Programming Help
Sounds like a dead battery issue, just replace the battery and try saving again.
the replacement battery is 3V cr2032.
