Kurzweil K2600 and balanced outputs

Hi,
I just bought a K2600s
but I have a problem to start:
when a I plug 2 mono jack in the output to the input of my Xenix 1002 it doesn't
sound in the Left channel, after reading the manual I found... nothing, did a soft reset,
enter in test mode and did all the tests when I notice that if I didn't enter all the Left plug into the socket
I get sound!
What's the problem with my jacks and how can I make a cable that works?
