ARP 2600 jacks.

Post by Ohm's Law » Fri Jan 22, 2010 9:55 am

Hello,

Starting to fix up my 2600.

A few sliders are scratchy and jacks. Plan on taking the sliders apart for cleaning.

Looked it up and Switchcraft still makes the original jacks. Something around $140.00 for a complete set.

Anyone replace all them? Seems it would be a good preventive procedure.

I would like to VERY much. All of mine are, at the very least, loose, and a couple are intermittent.

Are the later model jacks all the same? Is it Switchcraft 42A?

EDIT: Yes, all panel mount 42A's on ARP's built after October 1974. They're about $2.50 a pop on mouser.
