sound identification.. CS80 ?

Hi.

I have no clue where to begin, or in which sub-forum to post, but I thought this was a good place to start. My experience with synths are minimum, only some softsynths, but I am in the search of my life for a sound I havent found yet in any software, VSTi etc.

It is a kind of string pad, but very special.


(The Sea Named Solaris - J S Bach Tomita.)
The specific sound can be heard from 0:24 - 0:44.


Is it he same as this one from The CS80 ? (0:50-0:52)






I cannot say enough how much I would appreciate if someone could point it out, or if its a mellotron, or a patch one could make with for instance Arturia..

The sound you're referring to sounds like there's a lot of effects added, so it's not so much the synth used but the entire signal chain. It could also have been a Mellotron choir.

I'm 100% sure the sound is Roland VP-330.
