CS01 won't power on after cleaning

Post by dinotread » Sat Feb 27, 2010 1:32 am

I opened my CS01 to clean it because the switches were getting a little scratchy, and when I put it back together, it would not turn on. I tried batteries and a 9v dc power supply. Any ideas on what I may have done to it? It worked just fine before I opened it. I've cleaned/fixed lots of synths before, so i'm pretty sure I didn't short anything. I'm admittedly not a tech, but never had something like this happen before. :(

one things comes to mind: when synths have hard wires (to/from switches/jacks/etc) they are usualy very small-gague and can break at the solder joints....even inside the insulation. Opening an closing the synth can stress one over the limit.

Thanks for the tip, Rhino. I checked all of the conections, and everything seems solid. Unfortunately, it still won't turn on. I'll keep at it till I get something to happen.
