TR-808 Pre-Scale / Sync question

Hi,

I’ve been lucky enough to get hold of a TR-808.!

I’ve programmed some beats and everything works fine but some of my own patterns seem to have weird tempos and I cant get them in sync with my MPC. I have a feeling its something to do with the Pre-Scale feature but since this is my first old skool drum machine I’m not entirely sure how this function works.

Also all the ‘Fill In’ patterns are a different time / speed to all the main patterns.

The factory patterns are all in perfect sync with the MPC so I’m thinking its obviously something I’ve programmed incorrectly.

Can anyone help me out? What am I doing wrong? Is there a clear/reset Pre-Scale function?

I’m using a DOEPFER MSY2 for Din Sync / Midi conversion.

Did you hit that red button on the top left after selecting the scale you want? If your finding all your patterns are playing back in the wrong time signature that should do it.
