Hi, I recently purchased a Roland PG-800 to work with my MKS-70. I had to order a special DIN cable to connect the two units which I'm assured has been tested and works.
I'm worried I've got a dead PG-800 because when I connect it to the MKS-70 I get nothing. I've tried moving every slider and button but it doesn't change any of the MKS-70's parameters. Since it doesn't have any lights on it anyway its hard to tell what the problem is and if the PG-800 is receiving any power from the MKS-70.
I don't have much experience with the MKS-70 as yet so perhaps I'm missing a menu setting or is there anything I can do to try and figure out what the problem might be.
The manual says "The programmer does not work when the MKS-70 is set to Writing mode or Bulk Dump mode.". But it doesn't really explain how I can check to see if its in either of those modes.
Anyone help?
