Help with a Casiotone MT-140

Post by jeromy » Sat Jun 26, 2010 5:13 am

So I found this thing in my in-laws basement and lo and behold it has some killer tones (ok, like 3 or 4) - anyway, does anyone know a simple way to mod it so I can control the tremolo? There's a great chorus sound but it's got it's own tremolo and I'd love to be able to speed it up or slow it down. Just thought I'd throw it out there

Look up circuit bending. Sometimes it is as easy as rubbing your fingers across the pcb and soldering up some 500 Ohm potentiometers where your fingers affected the sound. There might even be a youtuber or two bending that specific model.

The MT-140 seems to be very similar to the MT-540. This link has a bunch of useful info about the MT-540 which will probably help you on your quest of modding the MT-140..
