Re: ARP odyssey mystery filter..?
You have to pull one of the main boards out, the one with the filter on it, and turn the sucker over and look to see what actual filter you've got in the Oddy. They'll usually say what they are on the filter, but have to pull the board out turn it over and look at it, otherwise, I wouldn't trust what filter anyone says they have in one. It is the only way to be 100% sure in my opinion.
Re: ARP odyssey mystery filter..?
The original filter has been removed and replaced with a pcb which is to the left of the original.
There is nothing on the board to identify it, Only that it's BLUE...
I guess it's a mod that you either have seen or not..I must post photo's.
Anyway the problem is in the filter and more info on this clone will help me..

Re: ARP odyssey mystery filter..?
Definitely haven't seen this before. Is it perfboard or a PCB? I can't really imagine how it could use the 741 without it sounding somewhat muddy. The slew rate on those op amps is aweful and would kill the high end. Then again some people like that sound and your odyssey might sound a bit more like your sonic six
Re: ARP odyssey mystery filter..?
Ha...Or obx for that matter...The board is a proper pcb and looks commercial.

Use image tags containing the address of the image file:
It should resize things anyway, so as long as they're big enough to see detail, and not so enormous they take forever for load, you're good to go.
If you need an image hosting site, try something like Photobucket.

The silkscreen style smacks of an Elektor VCO board I spotted on matrixsynth.
I couldn't find any VCF pics.

Your photos also reminds me of my circuit boards, er, that a hobbyist builder put it together.

those potted ARP filter modules tend to die. My 2600's 'lawsuit' filter had to be rebuilt by hand by my tech.
