Help identifying knob style
This knob came from an E-mu Xboard midi controller. Trying to identify the shape so I can order some replacements from Mouser.

It is called a D-Shaft "push on" style. Many, many types available from Mouser and others.

That's what I had ordered but the knobs that I got from Mouser fit from 1 o'clock to 11 o'clock instead of 7 to 5 as they should. These are the knobs I ordered http://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDet ... ey450-4760

Re: Help identifying knob style
D-shaft implies a shaft that looks like a D. This has a =D kinda thing going on, not the same. Although if the pot doesn't have that "=" part then I'd think a D-shaft would work. How annoying though, that's not going to be easy. Did you try to get a service manual?Hybrid88 wrote:It is called a D-Shaft "push on" style. Many, many types available from Mouser and others.
Also don't be afraid to sand down something that's almost the right fit.

Just thought of something. Maybe this is what "slotted D" shaft means. I've never had to use it so I've never looked it up.
