Controlling my xio via midi over USB

I was wondering if I could control my xio 25 with a USB connection from my axiom 49 with midi over USB. Novation said it couldn't be done, but I want some other oppinions. Thanks in advance.

Not without a computer in between them. You'd think that the manufacturer of something would know how it works. :idea:

The icontrol midi hub should do it when it's available without a pc as it acts as a host for things that work as class compliant devises and even though the XIO has a driver I can confirm it worked with out on my iMac at least the midi portion did . It's a little expensive looking at 179 I think ? , but being as it works in this way + as a usb hub + as a midi hub for iPad or mac or pc then it has use for later purposes too . Email them to make sure first ...they are quick with answers and seemingly very smart guys too imho . Hope that helps
