syntaur and vintage planet are both out . I don't know if this will help as you seam like the kind of guy who would have probably looked at a few different angles , but there is a somewhat related post else were about the dw8000 joystick with some pics if you haven't taken yours apart that is ?

Thanks for the link, but both synths were robbed of the joysticks by their previous owners, so there is nothing left to fix. The synths have been sitting in my shop for months while waiting their turn on the bench. Just thought I'd check with members here while waiting for Syntaur.

EDIT: FWIW, I've ordered a couple of new joysticks from a company out West. The idea is to see if they can be adapted to fit in the Korg mounting area. The pots are not center-tapped, so a small circuit board with a double op-amp and trimmers will be needed to shift the voltages to the right range. More details later if it works,
