But it wasn't like they just weren't there...they were all corrupted and weird. So I found the factory patches online and loaded them back up and they held. Wondering if this is a symptom of the battery going bad? I assumed when the battery went the memory just stopped working completely. The keyboard was completely unplugged and out of use for probably two weeks. Just wondering if any one has had experience in how the memory goes on these.

Random garbage in the patch memory is a sure sign of battery failure. Some types of RAM chips are more "sticky" than others i.e.: some parameters may last longer sans power than others. Other chips may just go to all zeros.

I figured it was something like this. I'll get my tech to rebattery it for me. While he's in there maybe he can restore the cable that got pulled on it powering the lights on the LED's. all I get are patch numbers. None of the rest of the lights work!
