ms 20 questions
Hi, I don,t fire up the ms20 as much as I probably should, I have noticed that when I switch it on there is no sound when I hit a key until it 'warms up' for say..30 seconds, is that usual? I,m also curious as to whether the attack time(adsr) may have been modded, when set at max a note dosent sound for approximately 1min 30sec?!

Re: ms 20 questions
My MS20 does not need time to warm up. Everything's there from start up, it's also in tune right from the beginning. So that might be some problem with your psu or sth. Don't know about the exact attack time, but it is quite long at maximum. So I guess there's no problem there.

Re: ms 20 questions
Yeah, that doesn't sound right - maybe a something to do with the VCA isn't making connection until it warms up and the expansion makes connection again - could also be a crack in the PCB trace or a dry joint perhaps.
By the way I'm curious, where is GTown?

My MS20 doesn't do this either - it's in tune and ready to use as soon as it's on.

Re: ms 20 questions
My MS10 was in tune straight away, my MS20 was always almost there but certainly after a couple of minutes it was spot on.
You always want just one more Synth!

don't capitulate, it should not be too hard to fix. MS20s are definitely worth to be kept alive.construct09 wrote:hmm.. thats dissapointing...
(Btw, is it an older or newer version MS20? I have a newer one, don't know whether that changes something on this issue or not...)
Re: ms 20 questions
Just a bad contact somewhere....Push the connectors in first.
First or second versions are the same except for the filter....And they don't sound that dissimilar (I have both)
