Roland Juno 60 resets saved patch to on-board setting?-HELP!

Post by akruziki » Sun Nov 13, 2011 11:08 pm

I have a Roland Juno 60, recently acquired, and have been using it to build a new bank of saved patches, to be used in a live performance setting. Occasionally, I will be playing on a saved patch and my J-60 will automatically reset itself to the on-board keyboard settings (everything from the envelope, LFO, VCF, chorus, etc.). This is extremely problematic in live-performance situations, when I need to rely on the saved patch NOT switching itself off.

Could this be from the PSU? Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Thank you endlessly!!

Do you get the "edited" indication (decimal points appearing in the patch number) when this happens? It sounds like the "manual" button has gotten flaky.
Switches, knobs, buttons, LEDs, LCD screens, monitors, keys, mice, jacks, sockets. Now two joysticks!

Actually this was a problem with the power supply wiring to the panel board. Roland released a service bulletin to fix it by rewiring the board with new +5 and ground wires. I have done it on a couple of mine and it fixed the prob.

The decimal points only appear when I go to change the patch. When the patch resets itself, the 2 digits on the patch Memory go to "--", reseting the Juno-60 to the on-board settings.

Do you have any idea how to find the bulletin from Roland? I looked but was unable to find... Much thanks!!

Issue solved for me : The "2 digits display"s little Card wasn't strongly screwed on the panel board B.
4 screws, problem fixed.
