Minimoog Voyager buzzing
Recently I've been getting this loud buzzing coming from the headphone jack when I have it plugged into my amp. I don't hear it from the audio outs in the back. When the moog is turned off it still makes noise, but when I unplug it the sound stops. It sounds like I'm holding the end of the audio cable up to my tongue or something else to cause it to buzz. Anybody have an idea what that could be?
Re: Minimoog Voyager buzzing
I'd wager there's an internal ground potential problem in the headphone amp. When I owned a Voyager, it arrived with a very distorted sounding headphone output, so it's possible this is a dodgy circuit or doesn't get QA checked at Asheville. You might see if they will let you ship it there and fix it, as that's what I did.
I am no longer in pursuit of vintage synths. The generally absurd inflation from demand versus practical use and maintenance costs is no longer viable. The internet has suffocated and vanquished yet another wonderful hobby. Too bad.
