Prophet 08 Mystery Clicking/Squeaking

Playing around with bass sounds on the P08. I finally got the super fast amp envelope clicking under control by dialing in a sweet spot on the attack dial. But now I've discovered a new clicking/squeaking noise:



I put a 7 band eq on it and discovered its in the 3k range. I was able to attenuate it with a moderately shaped q, without affecting my original sound. But what the heck is it originating from? I'm running in single voice unison mode, outputs set to mono, zero modulation/lfos, 2-pole filter. In testing, I'm noticing it now on other DSI presets, basically anything with a lower cutoff frequency.

I'm assuming this is just inherent with these machines. Anyone want to chime in here?

Did you ever get this figured out? Mine does the same thing. The sound is so distracting that certain patches are just useless.
