So, I found a Hohner Pianet N for a very good price but I can't test it because there is no power cord.
Does anyone know where I can find a replacement cord?
Failing that, if I put my ear right on the case should I heard some sounds when the keys are pressed? At least that way I would know that the mechanics are doing something.
I have done that with Rhodes EP's before but I don't know if the Pianet's reed mor tines or whatever they are would make enough noise for me to hear anything.
I'm sure I'd have to replace the pads either way.

Re: Pianet power cable
Try http://www.clavinet.com . They sell Pianet parts and upgrade kits. There is also a message board where you might find somebody who will sell a power cable.
http://www.vintagevibe.com also has a message board with a Clavinet and Pianet section.
Ken Rich at http://www.kenrichsounds.com sells new sticky pads which are very close to the originals.
I don't know about the Pianet N but the Combo Pianet can operate on a 9V battery. I wired a battery connector inside at the AC adapter jack and it will work for many hours on one battery.

Re: Pianet power cable
Thanks, lots of good info here.
I'm not sure if I want to make the leap but this will help me decide.
The thing is only $80.00 so I should probably get it either way.
