Just a quick question about this before I order the OS 6.0.08 from Vintageplanet.....
is this upgrade as simple as just removing a chip from a socket and replacing it with the new one?
or is there lots of disassembling / soldering etc?
I know replacing the CEMs is really easy on this synth, hoping the same is true of the ROM.
thanks!

Yes the ROM is socketed too. It's just a lot wider chip so you might need to use a knife and gently pry a little on each end to get it out. I also have the 6.0.8 ROMs for $20.
