today im getting around to doing final mix on a bunch of my tunes. bouncing this bassline pattern from the juno but having some problems. using 'external instrument' to sequence in ableton 8.2.8. using the bank a 21 'reese' patch. the 106 is being pick about which notes in this pattern it plays. ive tried shortening the notes so no overlap, ive tried overlapping the notes too. it doesnt seem to work in either poly 1 or 2 mode or mono mode. ideally id like to record this fat in mono mode. ive tried the amp env/gate switch to make sure its gating notes but this is just frustrating. slow 'cpu'? any thoughts?

Just to check... do you know for sure that all six voices are working on your 106?

correct. its been a problem before, but seems temperate at the moment. the midi 4x4 i just bought was geekin. all the midi outs would light when i pressed play on ableton. i tried with two different things. a mono basspatch on the juno, and a chord sequence on the JX8P, both had cut off notes/wouldnt play contiguous (legato?) notes? the chord patch got one of teh 4 notes, not cool. but all of these worked when patched back into my original sound card's midi. i eve disconnected the outs thinking it might be midi echo/loop but that wasnt it? i since returned the midisport 4x4 and am awaiting a MOTU micro lite usb....
